I designed this wall-mounted light for a private villa by OHMURA NAKAMURA ATELIER.
Focusing on the space, where light pours down from a high, church-like ceiling, I drew inspiration from the villa’s iconic roof form and reinterpreted it as a volume that gently encloses light.
While strongly connected to the architecture, the light is intended to maintain an autonomous presence of its own.
It also features a rotating structure that follows the bent geometry of the counter, allowing the position of the light to shift in response to how the space is used.
